Kiser Loft Apartments

Working closely with Gallman Development Group and Pimsler Hoss Architects, PSG will soon begin construction on the M.C. Kiser Building, a former shoe manufacturing plant turned office building at the corner of Pryor Street and Trinity Avenue. Located only a few blocks away from the Georgia State Capitol and Underground Atlanta, this adaptive reuse project will feature 40 loft apartments. Inside, the project team plans to keep the building’s historic character by reusing the original infrastructure as design features. For example, the existing elevator will be tweaked to travel to a planned roof deck offering views of the Capitol and Downtown. This will be South Downtown’s first market-rate apartments since 2003 and will be ready for tenants by spring 2017.

Barleygarden Kitchen & Craft Bar

PSG is thrilled to be working with Square Feet Studio and Davis Architects on a new and exciting project coming Spring 2017!

The restaurant, which will be part of Avalon’s second phase, will offer a menu of highly regarded draft beer and locally-sourced, chef-driven food. Barleygarden will also feature a beer garden with lush outdoor space and an open-air rooftop bar.

PSG Construction and Environmentally Conscious Building

PSG Construction is proud to offer clients our ever-growing expertise in environmentally responsible building, and we are committed to staying at the forefront in this increasingly innovative field. We realize that for some companies or business owners, “green” building is a personal choice, and for some it is a requirement. PSG is certified as a LEED Green Associate, and has with the guidance of Southface completed several projects bearing EarthCraft certification.

Our clients have benefitted in many ways from green building. Energy efficiency is reflected in the bottom line of operating costs, and the added PR doesn’t hurt either. Use of locally-sourced materials and products supports the surrounding economy. And we have found that our experience with more stringent environmental practices has increased our capacity for problem-solving in all building practices.
